It is made by polymerization of propylene glycol and epoxide. Colorless to light yellow slightly viscous liquid, soluble in water, non-irritating to skin. It can be used as the main raw material of the UV curing monomer PPGDA, and can also be used in adhesives, polyurethane and other fields, with lubricating, solubilizing, defoaming, and antistatic properties; in cosmetics, it can be used as an emollient, softener, and lubricant. Used as an intermediate for esterification, etherification and polycondensation reactions.
